The Sayreville Public Library subscribes to many newspapers and magazines, including the Home News Tribune, the Asbury Park Press, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and more. For a complete list of periodicals available in paper format in the library, click here. The following databases are available from computer stations in the library. For those that allow access from home, you will need your Sayreville library card.
General Research


AcademicAcademic Search Premier is a popular resource found in many academic settings worldwide, this resource was designed for the premier researcher, rich with the most valuable, comprehensive multidisciplinary content available. As a leading scholarly database, it provides access to acclaimed full-text journals, magazines, and other valuable resources. Academic Search Premier encompasses the expansive academic disciplines now being offered in colleges and universities. This resource provides an elaborate array of titles to cornerstone academia. Users accessing this resource will be provided with comprehensive content right at their fingertips, including PDF backfiles to 1975 or further for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references for more than 1,050 titles.



Auto Repair Reference CenterThe Sayreville Public Library now subscribes to a comprehensive online automotive repair database called Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC). With content from some of the most recognized repair manual publishers, such as Chiltons, Nichols and Delphi, ARRC covers more than 34,000 vehicles and dates back to 1945. Whether you’re a professional mechanic or a backyard tinkerer, this resource is sure to meet your needs.

EBSCOHost Search EbscoHost for a wide variety of journal, newspaper, and magazine articles, pamphlets, and more on health, business, academic, and recreational topics. ERICThe Education Resource Information Center also known as the ERIC provides access to educational literature and resources. This database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. This resource contains more than a million records and links to hundreds of thousands of full-text documents from ERIC back to 1966.



GreenFileGreenFILE indexes scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports. This resource offers a unique perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the environment. Drawing on the connection between the environment and disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology, GreenFILE serves as an informative resource for anyone concerned about the issues facing our planet. The database contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for selected titles and searchable cited references for more than 200 titles as well.

LISTA Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) is a free resource from EBSCO for anyone interested in libraries and information management. This world-class bibliographic database covers librarianship, classification, information management, and more and indexes more than 700 periodicals plus books, research reports, and proceedings. With coverage dating back to the mid-1960s, it is the oldest continuously produced database covering the field of information science.



Masterfile EliteMasterFILE Elite provides full text for magazines and publications covering an extensive list of general interest topics including business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues and much more. It contains more than 1,000 full-text periodicals, over 960,000 photos, maps and flags, & more than 50 full-text reference books.




Primary SearchPrimary Search contains full-text for more than 80 of the most popular elementary school magazines and is designed specifically for elementary school libraries. All full-text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), which allows users to read along at their own pace. Also, Primary Search features Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, providing students with easy-to-read encyclopedic entries written specifically for kids. This database provides thousands of relevant photos, maps and flags to aid kids in learning.
