Computer Classes

Email Basics - Tuesday, April 7th at 7 PM - Learn about Web-based email and set up a free email account.
Prerequisite:  basic mouse usage and typing skills

Internet Basics - Fri., April 24th at 11 AM - Learn about the different types of Web sites, methods of navigating the web, and how people make money on the Internet.
Prerequisite:  basic mouse usage and typing skills

Classes are limited to 5 students & will last 30-40 mins. Registration is not required; students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Frirends of the Library 10th Anniversary Celebration
Sunday, April 19th at 1:30 PM

Join us as we celebrate our first ten years serving the library and community.  Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the "Sayreville in the Winter" Photography Contest.  New members are welcome.  Refreshments will be served.!

Scholastic Book Fair
Tuesday, March 21st through Sunday, March 26th

Choose from a large selection of Scholastic Books titles.  Your purchases help the library earn free books to be awarded as reading prizes during the Summer Reading Club.  You may visit the book fair during regular library hours.  Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.

Save the Earth
Thursday, April 23rd at 6 PM

Combines magic and comedy to educate and entertain. Steve and his puppet parrot George, will show the importance of REDUCE, REUSE, & RECYCLE and how each of us must WORK TOGETHER and RESPECT our environment to SAVE THE EARTH. Journey with Steve and George to the oceans to see how pollution affects the wildlife that inhabits these areas of the world. For children ages 5 & up accompanied by a parent. Knitting Club
Wednesdays from 12 PM to 2 PM

Do you enjoy knitting and socializing? Join the Sayreville Library Knitting Club!

No need to register, drop by anytime.  Bring your yarn and needles, and enjoy each other's company!

Books & Bites
Monday, April 13th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Join the library's new book discussion group! We will meet every month to discuss both modern and classic fiction. Books will be provided to each member before each meeting. Snacks will be served.

The March book selection is One Thousand White Women by Jim Fergus.

New Children's Programs Added!
Mondays, Thursdays, & Saturdays

Three new children's programs are starting this month! Book Babies, Preschool Stories, and Weekend Crafts are the latest additions to the children's programming at the library. See below information. If you have any questions, contact the Children's Desk by calling Leah Kloc at (732)727-0212 x. 17 or emailing lkloc@lmxac.org.

Book Babies – Mondays at 11 AM
This is a NEW program for babies 4-12 months. Caregivers can join their babies to read stories and play with toys!

Preschool Stories – Thursdays at 1 PM
This is a NEW program for for children ages 3-6. Children and a caregiver can join us for stories, songs and a craft.

Weekend Crafts – Saturdays at 11 AM
This is a NEW program for children ages 5 and up! Children and caregivers can join us for classic craft projects!

No registration is required, but you must present a Sayreville Library card to attend. Admission is FREE.
