The purpose of the Friends of the Sayreville Public Library is to establish closer relations between the Sayreville Public Library and the people it serves; to promote informed interest in its function, resources, services, and needs; to confer with the Board of Trustees and the staff of the Library on matters relating to the welfare of the institution; to stimulate and receive gifts, endowments, and bequests for the benefit of the library; and to support the development of a program for the extension and improvement of the Library's services and resources. The Friends hold regular meetings and book sales and organize many other activities throughout the year. These are announced on the monthly calendar. If you would like to find out more about the Friends, you may wish to attend one of the Friends meetings held at the library. If you would like to become a member, you may print out the Membership Application form and return it to the Circulation Desk or mail it with membership dues of $5.00 to:
